Now that Edie knows the decorations around campus are fair game, she's taken to pilfering them for consumption. Unpredictable weather makes her uneasy and when she's anxious, she cooks. All this to say: Edie has too much soup. Just before dusk on Sunday, she brings out a cauldron of vegan mushroom stew and leaves it simmering over a bonfire in the open-air ruins of the Bonebarrow. Despite its sludge like appearance, it is pretty tasty. After setting up a little table with bowls and spoons from the larder and hammering a sign into the dirt that says simply 'Free Soup,' Edie disappears. Are you brave enough to try a bite?

Arlo is a scavenger and he sniffs out the soup. It doesn't smell like poison and it's not technically stealing since there IS a sign that says 'FREE'—who doesn't like free stuff? He takes a bowl.

This...feels a bit like a trap to Mallow. While he can still technically consume food or drink in addition to blood, he doesn't have much taste for either anymore and so this doesn't have much to do with him. But he still lingers in the area as others start to gather, equal parts curious and concerned about where this might go.

Helmine doesn't understand why people would eat mystery muck that was left outside to congeal. She also has suspicions about where it came from and doubts about its quality. She doesn't hang around to watch the massacre. Have fun, you heathens.

Communal free soup is not at all a new concept to Beetle and he'd definitely go for it, appearance not withstanding. Delicious vegan soup? All the better.

SOUP EATING CONTEST

Surely someone will start this and spread the word.

Reply to 'Round 1' with a message saying your character participated in an ill-fated soup eating contest and roll constitution.

I'll reply letting you know how many bowls of soup they ate in that round, if they had to sit out a round to recover, or if they hurl. The competition will go on for 7 rounds, or until all the contestants either stop on their own accord or are disqualified via vomit. If all contestants end up being disqualified, the winner is the contestant with the highest score before throwing up.
