T’was a fortnight before All Hallow’s Eve, creatures stirred all through the night, and yet packages for freshman of each house were mysteriously left overnight… for Adrian Flyte, Yrsa Eggjold, Lunulata, Velvet Vespertine, Astra Luperca, Icarus Ionnides, Arlo Snapdragon, Soryn Vergrace, Orchid Honeymaker, Rhododendron Berrycloth would find these packages Saturday morning.

In your mailbox or hanging on the doorknob to your suite in the dorms you will find a small package with your name on it that contains sweet treats native to the realm of Theros. Along with a holiday themed pencil (it’s been sharpened!) and a spooky eraser.

Who delivered these little packages? It’s a mystery! And that’s part of the fun. There are a set of instructions that come with the package that reads:

I’ve been BOOED!

Please keep it going by following these directions:

1. Enjoy your treats!
2. Please hang the “I’VE BEEN BOOED” sign on you door.
3. Make two copies of these instructions and obtain some treats to share with others.
4. Secretly deliver to two neighbors who have not yet been BOOED!

2 spots for people from different houses to have Suspicions About Iris. She could have been seen lurking about in a house that wasn’t her own or maybe she just seemed a bit jumpy. If anyone wants to add their Suspicious Character as a red herring, feel free to use this space!

As a Prismari RA, Velvet is on the lookout for anyone who might try to blow up their hidden room. She hears a suspicious report that Iris Maxentius was spotted lurking around the Cathedral. Hmmm.

Beetle has basically negative dexterity, so he was likely not very stealthy in his boos and their drop-offs.

Arlo isn't sure if the Theros treats mean the gift-giver is from Theros or simply targeting him for being from Theros, but he sniffs them and they don't seem to be poisonous, just a cute gift. He's delighted and is happy to keep it going!

Lunulata has never celebrated All Hallow's Eve before, let alone been Booed, so he's confused and delighted in equal measure to find the festive package hanging on his door. This is so exciting! Determined not to let the originator of the boos down, he immediately sets about preparing his own...

Velvet looks at the cutesy note and gifts with distaste. To her, "Booing" reads like a smirking declaration of how close someone can get to where you sleep without being detected, i.e. a threat.

But as more signs show up throughout the day, Velvet accepts that this might just be a fun game. Fine. She'll show how fun she is.

Arlo left some chocolates and fancy quills for Ned and Annarrgeal.

Lunulata left some local candies and some festive bubble wands for Myrto Wings Most Splendid and Beetle Ruskin. The wands are lightly charmed to make the bubbles luminescent, glowing a ~spooky~ green until they pop.

Orchid, lazy, delivers some bug taxidermy art (choose ur own!!) to Oren and Elinwe.

Beetle left small packets of a cinnamon-y autumn tea and a crystallized honey candy (both clearly homemade) for Eve and Helmine.

Helmine left some expensive chocolates, a sugar sculpture frog, and an owl ring with eyes that seem to follow you for Ebba Knoll and Farrow Strangeways.

Edie, also lazy (but a passably thoughtful RA), leaves pink sundew carnivorous plant terrariums for Flavian and Mallow. The terrariums are teeny, tiny and decorated with locally collected moss and rodent bones. Edie fails to attach the 'You've been Booed! 👻' directions and instead leaves a long, somewhat threatening letter about how to care for the plants.

Velvet leaves a whiskey-infused dark chocolate bar, a bottle of oxblood nail polish that becomes bright crimson when exposed to heat, and a red rose with many sharp thorns for Iris Maxentius and Hecate Hexslinger.

Iris is delighted by how quickly this circles back to her. And immediately applies the nail polish so that her boo-er knows that she appreciates the gift!

Once he finally put together that his new terrarium is (...probably?) part of the campus-wide Halloween game, Mallow left some homemade chocolates and a simple but spooky thaumatrope of a figure with a lantern walking in a dark wood for Czernobog Anger and Larkspur Everhart.

A few of Larkspur's chocolates seem to include blood, but none of Czernobog's do. Good thing those didn't get mixed up!

Rhodie left handfuls of flowers and berries for Ashling Luperca and Cosmo Mallory. Some of the wildflowers still have clumps of roots attached. You've been Booed!!

Larkspur delivers to both Yvette and Pocket a pair of handmade bone and crystal earrings in whatever colour she thought would suit them.
